This it the time of year for building the cold frame(s) for early planting and for hardening seedlings before transplanting to the garden.
If you are a gardener you are familiar with cold frames. If you are just starting out the hot bed or cold frame may seem like an extra step, but it is the one thing a new gardener can do to help guarantee a good crop of vegetables and an extended growing season.
